This blog is the home of two courses at the Monterey Institute of International Studies that are examining the sustainable business climate in different world markets. One class focuses specifically on China, and is taught in Chinese, while one class surveys various different Spanish speaking countries and is taught in Spanish. Click the links above for each course's site.
The Monterey Model course leverages the presence of the first class Translation and Interpretation program at the Monterey Institute to enrich the learning experience of students in other courses. Multiple courses, taught in different languages study the same topic. At the end of the semester, the classes come together, and present to one another in their own languages of study, the presentations are simultaneously interpreted for the audience by interpretation students.
